I am an immigrant; I have been in this country for almost 18 years. For the first 5 years, I was really poor and had a job requiring a long commute. WBEZ was the only station I enjoyed listening to that also helped me learn proper English. I’ve changed jobs and improved my status, and I feel that WBEZ has played a huge part in my story.
